We are very happy to announce that  NVIDIA Global Impact Award,  endowed with $100.000 has recognized and awarded the math-in member group EDANYA, from the  University of Málaga (Spain)  for its pioneering work in tsunami early warning systems. A research group of Princeton University has also been awarded in this edition. With this award, EDANYA group, whose main researcher is Carlos Parés Madroñal, Vice-president of the Spanish Network for Mathematics& Industry and member of the EU-MATHS-IN Council, becomes the first non-American research team to be awarded.  Previous winners of the award include San Diego Supercomputing Center (2015), Duke University (2016) and the University of Maryland and the Mayo Clinic in 2017.
